PhD/PostDocs actions - Come join and enjoy our new opportunities and actions!

Hurry up to register to the scientific mediation doctoral course, science fair, speed-meeting with high-school students, doctoral workshop in Normandie and to the LOQCathon QICS/Quandela!

- Scientific mediation training course in quantum information - …Registration now open!

The objective of this short training course is to give, to PhD students working in one of the thematics of quantum information, the keys to answer easily these questions to the widest possible audience.
This doctoral training course offers them the opportunity to collaborate all together and create projects such as a videoa video game, an escape game or any other  “things” you have dreamt to create once.
Registrations are organized on a “first come, first served” basis and deadline is October the 15th.

Registration required before October the 5th!

- Speed-meetings with high-school students - …Recruitment of volunteers!

For the 2022 Science fair, the QICS is joining forces with the Institute of Materials Science and the Observatoire des patrimoines to organize a joint event on the Pierre and Marie Curie Campus on October 13 and 14, 2022.
The event will take the form of short meetings with high school students.
You will discuss your scientific and academic careers and present your projects. During an hour and a half and in a succession of 10-minute meetings, a class divided into small groups will be able to discover 6 research thematics by meeting 6 young researchers.

- LOQCathon QICS / Quandela …Pre-registration required before the 14th of October!

The QICS, jointly with Quandela, is organising the first hackathon centered on Linear Optical Quantum Computation “LOQCathon” which will be held in Sorbonne Université, on the Pierre and Marie Curie Campus, from the 7th to the 9th of November 2022.
This 3-day event will kick off with talks from the world-renowned scientists Alexia Auffèves, Ernesto Galvão and Nicolas Quesada. The event is open to students, researchers and professionals interested in better understanding Linear Optical Quantum Computation. Grant travels are available for students from outside the Paris region.

Teams of 5 will compete to propose the best quantum solutions to a selection of real-world challenges, with cash prizes totaling €6000 which will be divided among the top three teams.

More information about the event and on how to pre-register can be found on the dedicated website (limited to 60 tickets, so hurry!). The event is free of charge.
