- Doctoral workshop in Quantum information -
…Registration now open!

Objective

The QICS (Quantum Information Center Sorbonne) aims to coordinate collaborations between physicists and computer scientists. In particular, the center is strongly committed to facilitate interactions between PhD students of the quantum information community through summer schools, seminars and its doctoral training course in scientific mediation in quantum information. This year for the first time, the QICS funds a workshop organized only by PhD students.

Description

The quantum information community within Sorbonne Université Alliance (ASU) is large and covers a broad range of topics among many labs (INSP, LPENS, LKB, LIP6, INRIA, SYRTE, etc…), so it might be difficult to have a clear overview of the domain, as computer scientists and physicists rarely gather for conferences.
It is why the QICS doctoral committee is organizing a 3-day workshop in the heart of a magnificent Norman natural park, intended to PhD students. During 3 days, you will meet PhD students from all the labs of the QICS perimeter and will get to know them better through fun group activities. Additionally, tutorials will be proposed, for you to get familiar with a large range of subjects (quantum communications, quantum computing, quantum cryptography…) within quantum information and also with participants working on topics complementary to yours.
