Anatole Bach has completed his PhD!
Congratulations to Anatole Bach who is now a Doctor!
Back in 2020, the Quantum Information Center Sorbonne awarded a doctoral program to Anatole Bach in order to develop his PhD project about semiconductor quantum dots coupled to photonic nanostructures : simulations and applications for integrated quantum technologies. He worked on his project at the INSP under the supervision of Valia Voliotis (director) and Richard Hostein (co-supervisor).
We are delighted to announce that Anatole has recently been awarded his PhD on December 2023.
"My work during this thesis is based on the use of the spin of a hole trapped in an InAs/GaAs quantum dot as a qubit. My objective is to intricate the spins of the holes of two dots embedded in a photonic crystal via the photons the dots emit in order to create on-chip logical quantum gates. This project is part of the global ongoing effort towards the realization of the elementary component of quantum computers, the qubit. It takes advantage of the recent progress achieved in the engineering and understanding of semiconductor quantum dots." said Anatole during his PhD.
