A look back at the Science Fair 2022
For this second participation to the Fête de la Science of Sorbonne University, QICS proposed two animations for schools and the public.
Speedmeeting between doctoral students and high school students: experience sharing and close-up on university careers
Opus, QICS and iMAT, three thematic institutes of the Sorbonne University Alliance, have once again joined forces to organize meetings between high school students and doctoral students. The aim of these meetings is to show the plurality of career paths and the rich diversity of research topics. And thanks to the association with OPUS and iMAT, the meetings are enriched by revealing the multitude of disciplines of our institutes as well as the numerous bridges that mark out scientific studies.
For logistical reasons, we were only able to host two classes, 1.5 hours each. However, the shared enthusiasm of the students, teachers, accompanying adults and doctoral students reinforces our desire to repeat this experience.
This year, we received again and with great pleasure the class of terminal (option mathematics / physics) of Mrs Marchand and Mr Pitcho of the Berlioz high school in Vincennes . We also received the class of second of Andy Davigny of the Claude Bernard high school in Paris.
Thanks to our PhD students!
9 PhD students from our 3 institutes agreed to take part in the speemeeting and to share their career path, research projects and their daily life as young researchers for a short 15 minutes.
Opus : Daria Derbilova, Elouan Mouro and Julia Cabanès
QICS : Julien Zylberman and Marie Joly
iMAT: Camila Bussola Tovani, Sophie Marbach, Sakina Meftah and Zakarya Ouzit

Alice and Bob, in the land of quantum entanglement
Follow Alice and Bob in their strange journey, from Paris to the fabulous quantum world
Straddling the line between animated video and facecam, this video will take the viewer for a total immersion in the heart of the quantum universe, crossed by singular and astonishing phenomena, which some people call esoteric and which researchers in the field continue to explore with ardor.
